17.09.2025 06:24 | ~1 minute read

OTTA (Over The Top Analogue) has announced its first MC cartridge, the OTTA Mandolin. Special attention was paid to the quality of midrange reproduction during development – which should guarantee the most engaging sound. OTTA Mandolin uses a ruby cantilever and has an internal impedance of 5.0 Ohms (the recommended load is within 100–470 Ohms).

OTTA Mandolin – the First Model from a New Brand

The OTTA Mandolin MC cartridge is housed in a wooden case – it is CNC-milled from red sandalwood. The wooden elements cover an aluminum base frame with minimal tolerances. The head is equipped with a patented magnetic system with an increased magnetic gap and samarium-cobalt magnets, which guarantee precise uniformity of the magnetic field distribution.

The OTTA Mandolin coils are wound with Pure Iron wire and have minimal tolerances, which helps to avoid uneven capacity distribution. Each cartridge undergoes extensive quality control after assembly. The OTTA Mandolin will be available in retail in the near future for 2,000 euros.
