Orchard Audio has introduced the Orchard Audio Starkrimson 25 Mono Premium mono power amplifier. The model uses class D circuitry with GaN transistors in the output stage.
GaN transistors move electrons up to 1,000 times more efficiently than silicon – so the model promises very fast and powerful sound. Based on the Starkrimson Mono model, the new Starkrimson 25 features an increased switching frequency of up to 1.1 MHz. The new product also demonstrates a damping factor of 600.
The Starkrimson 25 Mono Premium monoblock is equipped with an improved output filter and features a fully balanced concept from input to output. The device provides 150 watts of power when operating at a load of 8 ohms and 200 watts at 4 ohms. The gain can be adjusted from 21.5 dB to 16.8 dB
The Orchard Audio Starkrimson 25 Mono Premium will be available soon. At launch, there will be a special price of $1,099.95 for a single monoblock. The recommended retail price of the amplifier will be $1,249.95 after that.
