A new integrated amplifier from the British company Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600.2 scheduled for release since January 2025. The device is fully consistent with the brand's philosophy and uses a massive design with a dual mono configuration, a solid power supply, preamplifier and power-amp filtering and the use of Class-A tube stage consisting of nuvistor tubes.
Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600.2 guarantees 2 x 160 W of power at 8 Ohm load, when using 4 Ohm loudspeakers, the power increases to 300 W. The device also works without problems with 2 Ohm speakers, delivering 500 W per channel! The entire signal chain now uses only high-quality polypropylene capacitors, the input stages are now implemented on relays, and the precision volume control even at low signal levels functions with an error of +/- 0.5dB gain. The preamplification circuits in the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600.2 are designed in a shielded separate volume hidden in the upper part of the device. The Nu-Vista tubes have been taken from the PRE/PAS models and feature 6S51N nuvistors in a discrete class A. Two balanced XLR inputs add flexibility in switching.
The model weighs a solid 36 kg. and will cost 8,990 euros.
