Moondrop has released the Moondrop Horizon headphones – the new product is equipped (unlike previous planar models) with a dynamic ULT driver with a diameter of 50 mm, an inclined system arrangement and a dual-magnet design.
The design uses a high-quality dome made of PEN material with a titanium coating and a dual-layer suspension made of liquid silica gel. The titanium coating increases the rigidity of the diaphragm and improves the accuracy of reproduction. The dual-layer suspension made of liquid silica gel contributes to faster movement of the diaphragm.
To improve efficiency and minimize distortion, Moondrop Horizon uses a dual-sided magnetic design with two sets of N55 neodymium magnets and a flux of 1.85 T. The design is optimized using FEA modeling technology. In addition, the drivers are installed at an angle, which improves sound perception and spatial stage. The Horizon headphones are designed in an open acoustic design in accordance with its own target frequency response - VDSF, which provides a neutral sound profile with high detail. The headphones are equipped with dual 3.5 mm connectors and come with a standard high-purity copper connection cable. The kit also includes interchangeable plugs - a mini-jack to 3.5 mm and Pentaconn 4.4 mm.
Moondrop Horizon headphones are available now for a suggested retail price of $ 199.99.
