Meze Audio has released the top-of-the-line Meze Audio ASTRU in-ear headphones. The model is based on a single dynamic driver, delivering premium sound, comparable to headphone designs with multiple drivers.

The Meze Audio ASTRU features a driver with a multilayer composite diaphragm – features over 80 ultra-thin layers of gold, applied during a 48-hour physical vacuum DC magnetron sputtering process, then bonded to a titanium layer and finally mounted on a PEEK base. This carefully tuned structure delivers natural high frequencies, warmth, and punch, for which dynamic drivers are renowned.

The geometry of the Meze Audio ASTRU headphone housing was designed for enhanced comfort during extended use. The housings are CNC-machined from titanium and then processed through a multi-stage electroplating process. Each pair of housings requires up to seven days of precision machining.

The package includes a balanced cable with CNC-anodized aluminum components and a gold-plated 4.4mm balanced connector. This ensures low impedance, signal purity, and durability. A 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter, five ear tip sizes (XS–XL), and two carrying options - a protective case and a soft faux leather pouch - make the Meze Audio ASTRU equally suitable for both portable use and dedicated listening systems.
The Meze Audio ASTRU will be unveiled at CanJam in New York City on March 7 and will be available for purchase on March 20, 2026, at a suggested retail price of $/€899.
