Master & Dynamic has partnered with Guy Berryman's fashion brand Applied Art Forms to release a limited edition of the popular MH40 wireless headphones that looks as though it leaped from a WWII bomber and landed straight into 2025. The collaboration directly references classic American flight jacket aesthetics: olive twill, sheepskin leather, rugged hardware, and enough character that you might wonder if a parachute and emergency kit should be included.

This is a refined mix of Master & Dynamic's premium materials, Berryman's utilitarian design philosophy, and aviation-inspired flair for those who feel modern audio equipment could use some "Top Gun" energy. The new MH40 leans hard into mid-century American flight jacket aesthetics - down to the materials. The limited edition uses fabrics from Collect, an authoritative Japanese textile manufacturer known for archival military apparel. The exterior headband and cups are wrapped in deep green nylon twill, while the headband interior contrasts with bright utilitarian orange wool - like the visible lining of an MA-1 jacket. The signature A/A/F grille visually references vintage radio receivers, giving the design a subtle "found in a Cold War bunker" vibe while staying within the MH40's modern design language.

All changes are purely cosmetic - internally, this is the proven second-generation MH40 platform. You get the same 40 mm titanium-diaphragm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2, and optional wired connectivity via USB-C or 3.5 mm. A dual-microphone system handles voice calls, while the M&D Connect app enables EQ adjustment and firmware updates. The retail price will be $399.
