Klipsch Rebellion – a New Heritage Series Model for the Brand’s 80th Anniversary

American company Klipsch has prepared a new Rebellion loudspeaker system to mark its 80th anniversary. The model joins the Heritage Series and is a passive two-way monitor loudspeaker with a distinctly classic design. Visually, the new speaker refers back to ideas introduced by Paul W. Klipsch in the late 1950s.

The official debut of the Klipsch Rebellion took place at High End Vienna 2026 in Austria. The new model is based on the rare Klipsch H8 loudspeaker, which is said to have been produced in only 16 examples. In this sense, Rebellion is not just another addition to the catalogue, but also a return to the brand’s archives and an appeal to its most dedicated fans.

At the same time, the Klipsch Rebellion is not simply a retro replica. Behind its vintage appearance is modern engineering. The high-frequency range is handled by the K-81-EP compression driver, working together with the K-703 Tractrix horn with the company’s Mumps technology. Low frequencies are reproduced by the new K-702 driver, developed specifically for this model.

The woofer is mounted in a bass-reflex enclosure with a rear-firing Tractrix port. This design is intended to reduce airflow turbulence and make the bass more focused and controlled. As a result, Klipsch aims to preserve the recognisably energetic presentation of the Heritage Series while adding more modern acoustic solutions.

Like other models in the Heritage line, the Rebellion speakers are handcrafted in Hope, Arkansas. Each pair is finished with natural wood veneer, with the veneer sheets selected from the same log. This helps the left and right speakers achieve a closely matched wood grain and a more unified appearance as a pair.

The Klipsch Rebellion can be used both in a traditional stereo system and as part of a home cinema setup. Optional KS-24 stands are also available for the model. The standard finish options include American Walnut, American Chestnut, Black Ash and Red Oak. In addition, a limited Tigerwood version will be prepared to mark the company’s anniversary.

Sales of the Klipsch Rebellion loudspeakers are expected to begin in July 2026. The recommended retail price in the United States will be 2,599 dollars per pair.
