To celebrate its 80th anniversary, JBL has unveiled a limited edition of the L100 Classic 80, a new version of the L100 model first released back in the 1970s. The anniversary design features an instantly recognizable oak-veneer finish and a black wooden frame. Unlike the standard version, the Classic 80 offers only one foam grille option – brown Quadrex.

The JBL L100 Classic 80 loudspeakers are equipped with a 30.4 cm pulp-cone woofer with Dual Spider(JW300SW-8) , a 13.3 cm midrange driver with a pulp cone and polymer coating (JM125PC-8), and a 25 mm titanium-dome tweeter (JT025Ti2-4). The rear panel houses speaker terminals that support bi-wiring. Crossover Frequency: 450Hz, 3.5kHz, frequency response: 40Hz-40kHz (-6dB).

The JBL L100 Classic 80 anniversary edition will go on sale in February 2026 at a price of $7,499 per pair. Production is limited to 800 pairs worldwide. Each unit includes a commemorative plaque with an individual serial number and the signature of chief engineer Chris Hagen.
