Swiss high-end audio manufacturer Goldmund has teamed up with suitcase manufacturer Pinel et Pinel and contemporary artist Cyril Kongo to create the Apologue Ultimate Pinelet Pinel & Cyril Kongo edition speakers. Limited to just 20 pairs, these speakers combine high-end audio with artistic craftsmanship, turning each piece into an art object.
The modern version of the Goldmund Apologue is now covered in calfskin leather from Pinel et Pinel and painted by Cyril Kongo (each speaker weighs over 300 kg and includes 16 meters of hand-stitched leather seams). Kongo’s intricate painting is applied to flat leather surfaces, which are then assembled into a seamless artistic design, making each pair of speakers unique.
The speakers use Goldmund's advanced technology to achieve exceptional sound quality. Each speaker is equipped with a super tweeter, a tweeter, two midrange speakers and a pair of 12" woofers. The speakers are active - equipped with amplifiers for each speaker, with a power of 300 watts for the super tweeter and 700 watts for each woofer.
Goldmund Apologue Ultimate Pinel et Pinel & Cyril Kongo edition are offered for $ 1.77 million / € 1.5 million per pair of speakers. Currently, two pairs of 20 speakers was made – one pair in pink and one pair in blue color. All future pairs of speakers will be in the creative hands of Cyril Kongo and can be any shade.

Last year, Goldmund launched the impressive Goldmund Rhea and Theia acoustics in active versions with a wireless streamer. The all-in-one solution certainly looked brilliant, but High-End fans often prefer component systems. So now the company has introduced the Goldmund Rhea and Theia loudspeakers in a Passive version.
