Göbel Divin Monarque – Loudspeakers for Half a Million Euros

German company Göbel High End has unveiled its new Divin Monarque floorstanding loudspeakers – an ultra-premium model weighing 380 kg per speaker and priced from 469,000 euros per pair. According to the manufacturer, these loudspeakers are designed for those who find the flagship Divin Majestic too large, but still want a sound level and Göbel’s signature technologies that come as close as possible in a slightly more compact format. The company emphasizes that no corners were cut on quality here.

The Göbel Divin Monarque loudspeakers are built as a single-piece construction, with no need for on-site assembly at the customer’s home: the speaker simply needs to be unpacked and installed. However, considering the weight of nearly 380 kg and a height of around two meters, this is clearly a job for the dealer. The systems are supplied in professional wheeled flight cases.

The low-frequency range in the Göbel Divin Monarque loudspeakers is handled by a pair of 15-inch drivers with long-throw suspensions developed by Göbel High End. The midrange spectrum is entrusted to two 8-inch Göbel High End drivers, while the high-frequency range is reproduced by an upgraded AMT tweeter operating in a massive aluminum waveguide with patented curvature.

The speaker cabinet is an acoustically optimized, multi-layer damped construction made from resin-based composite materials, with heavy internal bracing, Helmholtz resonators, and a special front baffle made of aluminum alloy with variable wall thickness reaching 105 mm. The manufacturer emphasizes that all materials are resistant to tropical operating conditions. The standard cabinet finish is black piano lacquer, with aluminum elements in an ultra-matte black finish featuring a velvety texture and accents of genuine 24-karat gold. Other finish options are available upon customer request.

According to the manufacturer, the Divin Monarque is an example of German engineering and manufacturing, fully made in Germany with minimal tolerances, maximum reliability, and attention to every detail. Sensitivity is specified at a very high 96 dB (1 W / 1 m), so the loudspeakers do not necessarily require an ultra-powerful amplifier. The lower frequency limit is 21 Hz, meaning the bass promises to be so deep that, as Göbel High End jokingly suggests, there is no longer any need to buy a separate subwoofer.

The official world premiere of the Göbel Divin Monarque loudspeakers will take place at the Vienna High End Show 2026, which will be held in Vienna, Austria, from June 3 to June 7, 2026. It is worth noting that Europe’s leading audio exhibition, High End, has moved this year from Munich to Vienna.
