ELAC ConneX DCB61 – Active Speakers with a "Swiss Army Knife"-Style Connection

22.10.2025 06:31 | ~1 minute read

The ELAC ConneX DCB61 are wireless speakers ideal for both stereo and home theater systems. HDMI eARC, line/phono preamp, optical, USB-A, USB-B, Bluetooth, and Dolby Digital support make this a true Swiss Army Knife of audio. The speakers boast an impressive frequency response for their size – 37 Hz – 24 kHz (with a 6 dB error). The enclosures, constructed from 12 mm MDF, are also worth mentioning.

The ELAC ConneX DCB61 system consists of a master speaker with connection and amplification electronics, and a slave speaker powered by amplifiers built into the master unit. Discrete Class-D amplifiers are used for each driver, meaning the master speaker houses four amplifiers. The 165mm polypropylene cone woofers deliver 60W each, while the 19mm soft-dome tweeters deliver 20W each. The master speaker is connected to the slave speaker via the included speaker cable.

The tweeter used in the ELAC ConneX DCB61 wireless monitors is mounted in a custom-designed waveguide, while the long-throw midrange/bass driver boasts an extended bass range.
