Chord Electronics has announced the release of the Chord Ultima Phonostage phono preamplifier – a top-of-the-line model that promises outstanding performance and will go on sale before the end of 2025.
Chord Ultima Phonostage is made in the “dual mono” concept, works with both MC and MM cartridges and offers load impedance adjustment (47 kOhm with capacitance options for MM cartridges and from 12 Ohm to 2.2 kOhm for MC cartridges), as well as the ability to set the desired gain.
The Chord Ultima Phonostage phono preamplifier is equipped with three separately adjustable inputs, which allows you to use the device with three turntables or with three tonearms on one turntable. Moreover, the new product offers three unbalanced inputs on RCA connectors and three balanced ones on XLR. An unbalanced and balanced output are also provided for connection to the amplifier.
