Burmester, the famous German manufacturer of high-end equipment, begins releasing LPs. The PURE SOUND Master Recordings series opens with the 1964 jazz album Oscar Peterson Trio “We Get Requests”, the record will be released in a limited edition of 33 copies and will be sold for 777 euros.

Such a high price is due to the fact that Burmester PURE SOUND Master Recordings uses lacquer discs - which are cut in real time from 1:1 copies of master tapes. Neither digital processing nor editing is used in the process, which allows the sound to be conveyed exactly as it was originally performed. Thanks to the direct-to-disc cutting method, Burmester manages to capture even the smallest nuances of the performance.

The Oscar Peterson Trio “We Get Requests” edition of 333 copies was not chosen by chance - the number refers to the playback speed of 33 1/3 rpm. The 12-inch lacquer disc, cut at 33 1/3 rpm, is printed on premium acetate and packaged in an exclusive case. The reissue contains all 10 original tracks from the album.

The Oscar Peterson Trio “We Get Requests” record will be sold exclusively through the official Burmester online store. Until May 15, 2025, it can only be purchased with a special code, which can be obtained from selected Burmester retail partners. After this date, worldwide sales via the Internet will begin without any restrictions.
