Børresen M8 Gold Signature – Speakers for €1 Million

The flagship Børresen M8 Gold Signature loudspeakers are the pinnacle of Michael Børresen's design. These speakers were developed using the cost-no-object principle to achieve the highest sound quality and eliminate all known issues of speaker-room interaction.

The Børresen M8 Gold Signatures stand over two meters tall and weigh 325 kg each. The key characteristics of their sound signature are their wide frequency response and exceptional accuracy at any volume level. The model's highlight is its folded dipole bass, which uses 12 8" woofers in each speaker. The bass drivers are positioned to fire low frequencies forward and backward with opposite polarity, controlling bass energy before the sound wave interacts with the room.

The Børresen M8 Gold Signature utilizes proprietary drivers with an ironless motor to reduce inductance and magnetic hysteresis. High frequencies are handled by the proprietary RP94 Gold Signature planar ribbon tweeter, with a frequency response extended to 50,000 Hz. The speakers operate from 20 Hz and have a sensitivity of 87 dB with section impedances of 5 and 8 ohms.

The Børresen M8 Gold Signature is designed with three independent sections (two low-frequency and a mid-high/high-frequency range), requires biamping (100 + 100 W), and is designed to work with external analog active crossovers, primarily from Aavik.

The speaker cabinets feature multilayer walls and incorporate proprietary Ansuz technologies - active square Tesla coils and analog dithering technology. Mechanical grounding is provided using Ansuz Darkz Z3W resonance control units. Each Børresen M8 Gold Signature loudspeaker is handcrafted in Denmark.
