Bluesound has introduced a new generation of the Bluesound Powernode network integrated amplifier. The model now uses gallium nitride (GaN) amplification technology and is equipped with three amplification channels for the center speaker in home theater mode. At the same time, the Bluesound Powernode can operate in traditional stereo mode – then the power will be 2 x 100 watts, and when switching to three-channel mode – 80 watts.
GaN transistors, according to Bluesound, provide lower distortion and improved sound quality. In addition, the new topology has minimized the number of cable connections. The device is equipped with an HDMI eARC port and can even be connected directly to a TV, creating a surround sound configuration of 3.1. By adding wireless rear speakers Bluesound Pulse and subwoofer Pulse Sub+, you can go up to 5.1.
For signal streaming, the Bluesound Powernode has a USB-C input, as well as analog and optical inputs, Bluetooth support with aptX Adaptive codec and a 6.35 mm headphone jack driven by a separate THX AAA headphone amplifier. More than 20 streaming clients are built-in (Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer), signal support extends up to PCM 24/192, MQA and DSD256. The icing on the cake is the Dirac Live room correction system, the Bluesound Powernode is fully compatible with this software, but you will have to pay for the license separately.
The Bluesound Powernode can be ordered from August 12, 2025, and deliveries through authorized dealers are expected from September 10, 2025. The recommended retail price is 1,090 euros.
