AVM Introduces the Anniversary Evolution Black Edition

AVM, also known as Audio Video Manufaktur, has marked its 40th anniversary with the release of a special Black Edition upgrade for audio components in the Evolution range. The new upgrade package is available for the CS 5.3, AS 5.3, PAS 5.3 and MP 5.3 models. Rather than representing a separate series of products, it is a comprehensive modernization of existing components aimed primarily at improving their sonic performance.

The Black Edition package includes an enhanced tube module, specially selected operational amplifiers, high-precision Mini-MELF resistors and internal silver wiring. In addition, AVM’s engineers have redesigned the output stage and increased the total capacitance of the capacitors in the power supply’s filtering section. The CS and AS models are also fitted with new rhodium-plated speaker terminals.

According to the manufacturer, the combination of these modifications delivers a more transparent, natural and expressive sound. In particular, the company claims more accurate reproduction of fine details, improved spatial presentation, a more relaxed delivery and greater musicality.

One of the key features of the programme is the ability to upgrade components that are already in use. Owners of Evolution 5.3- and 3.3-generation products will be able to send their units to the AVM factory for modernization to the current 5.3 specification. The work also includes the installation of the latest version of the tube preamplifier stage.

This approach allows the company to extend the service life of previously released equipment while underlining its commitment to long-term customer support. The AVM Evolution Black Edition package is already available through the brand’s authorised dealer network. The upgrade is priced at €3,249.
