Audio Analogue has released the Audio Analogue ABsolute PA Mono, a Class AB mono power amplifier. This model offers to 500 watts when driving 8 ohm loudspeakers. Weighing in at 50 kilograms, the ABsolute PA Mono amplifier is a robust design.

The Audio Analogue ABsolute PA Mono utilizes a fully balanced discrete circuit design with no global feedback. The heart of the amplifier is a gain stage with multiple high-power output transistors. The rated output power increases from a stated 500 watts into 8 ohms to 1,400 watts into 2 ohms.

The signal-to-noise ratio is claimed to be 118 dB (at 500 watts), and the distortion factor does not exceed 0.1% from 1 to 500 watts into 8 ohms and across the entire frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The damping factor is 45, and the frequency response extends to 200,000 Hz.

The Audio Analogue ABsolute PA Mono power amplifier is equipped with high-quality components, including oversized resistors and audiophile-grade capacitors. The commutation is, of course, balanced. The recommended retail price of the Audio Analogue ABsolute PA Mono mono power amplifier in Europe is €45,000 for a single monoblock.
