APL HIFI DSD-GR is a new Pure DSD, “Galactic Reference” DAC, using a transformer-coupled tube differential Class-A output stage. The device is built on a fully balanced scheme and offers a proprietary asynchronous USB input module.
Next in the signal chain, the proprietary 64 bit PCM to DSD converter module with DSD256 and DSD512 capabilities (non oversampling NOS mode without filtering is also present). Digital-to-analog conversion is entrusted to the proprietary assembly of Pure DSD conversion module using non-magnetic resistors. APL HIFI DSD-GR is also equipped with RJ-45 input woking in balanced I2S mode.
The design of the APL HIFI DSD-GR uses an audiophile element base - custom Lundahl interstage and output transformers with oxygen free copper windings. Pure Class-A, differential output stage operates on the ECC99 tubes. Only non-magnetic resistors are used in the circuits of the device, op amps are not used, negative feedback is zero. Internal wiring is made of oxygen free copper cables featuring Esprit Audio cables for the critical paths. The main power supply of the model is based on an custom R-Core balanced main power transformer with OFC windings; Lundahl choke used for the tube power supply.

The new Nagaoka MP-700 cartridge tops the Moving Permalloy (MP) series and will be available in the standard MP-700 and premium MP-700H versions. Compared to conventional moving magnet (MM) cartridges, the Moving Permalloy (MP) variant features a lighter permalloy magnet attached to the cantilever.
Sennheiser has introduced the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open TWS headphones – the model, designed in a stylish compact design, promises, according to the manufacturer, exceptional comfort during use and a secure fit.
The Ranieri Audio Labs Varieta preamplifier has been released – the model uses directly heated triodes and allows for a wide range of tubes (300B, 2A3/6A3, 12A/201A, 26, 30, 31, 45, 50, 71A, 801A/10Y, 275A/252A, 245 and 842/VT52 will do). Simply ideal for those wishing to experiment with tube rolling.
Accuphase has introduced the Accuphase C-57 phono preamplifier, based on a fully balanced circuit design from output to input with dual mono topology. The Accuphase C-57 also uses a two-stage solution: the first stage is the output stage to ensure matching with MM and MC cartridges, the second stage is the correction amplifier itself.
Last year, Goldmund launched the impressive Goldmund Rhea and Theia acoustics in active versions with a wireless streamer. The all-in-one solution certainly looked brilliant, but High-End fans often prefer component systems. So now the company has introduced the Goldmund Rhea and Theia loudspeakers in a Passive version.
