Sonus Faber Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini Edition speakers have been unveiled – a limited series (50 numbered pairs will be released) of speakers is now available for pre-order (delivery period is three months) at a price of 125,000 euros.
The speakers were announced at Monterey Automobile Week – an automobile festival held on the Monterey Peninsula (California) – this is not the first joint project between Sonus Faber and Lamborghini (previously, the Italian acoustics manufacturer developed an audio system for Lamborghini supercars – Revuelto).
Sonus Faber Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini Edition is based on the Sonus Faber Ex3me model and is supplemented with Lamborghini elements: carbon panels, Corsa-Tex trim and the legendary car manufacturer's nameplate. The circuitry of the model is a 3.5-way acoustic system with a bass reflex. High frequencies are voiced by a 30-mm beryllium tweeter with a diamond-like carbon coating with an extended frequency response of up to 35,000 Hz.
Mid frequencies are reproduced by a driver with a diffuser made of natural fiber (air-dried cellulose, kapok, kenaf) with a diameter of 180 mm. Two woofers with 180 mm sandwich diffusers are responsible for the bass, and side drivers with 220 mm carbon nanofiber diffusers, which extend the operating range down to 25 Hz, are responsible for the infrabass. The cherry on the cake is the upgraded Paracross Topology crossover with top Mundorf components.
The sensitivity of the speakers is 92 dB (2.83 V/1 m), the nominal impedance is 4 Ohm, the recommended amplifier power is from 100 to 800 W. The dimensions of each speaker are 1,450 × 490 × 636 mm, weight is 84 kg.
