German manufacturer Acoustic Signature has expanded its range of vinyl turntables with the Verona Neo. The new model features the brand’s recognisable classic styling, while its construction is based on modern engineering solutions. The turntable is aimed at owners of high-end analogue systems who value configuration flexibility, mechanical stability and the possibility of future upgrades.
A key advantage of the Acoustic Signature Verona Neo is its support for two tonearms. The turntable can accommodate models ranging from 9 to 12 inches in length, allowing different cartridges to be used simultaneously. For example, one tonearm can be fitted with a stereo cartridge, while the second can carry a mono cartridge or a model designed for playing a particular type of record.

The platter is driven by a dual-motor system. According to the developers, this arrangement is intended to improve speed stability and provide more even torque transmission. The motors are controlled by a separate DMC-20 controller featuring AVC Level 3 technology, which is responsible for precise regulation and the reduction of unwanted fluctuations.
The external control unit also separates the turntable’s sensitive mechanical components from the power electronics. This should reduce the possibility of vibrations and electrical interference being transferred to the chassis, tonearm and cartridge. Acoustic Signature uses a similar approach in other high-end models from its Neo series.

The rotating assembly is based on the company’s proprietary DTD bearing. According to the manufacturer, its design is intended for long-term operation without any noticeable deterioration in performance. The bearing should provide low mechanical noise, stable rotation and precise positioning of the heavy platter.
The Verona Neo chassis is manufactured using a multilayer CLD damping structure. Several materials with different mechanical properties are combined into a single construction designed to increase the rigidity of the plinth and dissipate unwanted resonances. This is especially important when using two tonearms and sensitive cartridges capable of responding to even the slightest vibrations.

The Acoustic Signature Verona Neo turntable features a 50 mm-thick platter. Eight special damping elements are installed inside it to suppress internal vibrations and stabilise rotation. The new model will be available in several finishes and configurations, although its price and release date have yet to be announced.
