CH Precision is a Swiss electronics company started in 2009 by electronics engineer Florian Cossy and software engineer Thierry Heeb, whose initials form the name. Based in Preverenges near Lausanne, the small company builds transports, DACs, preamplifiers, power amplifiers and master clocks, and its signature is modular units that can be upgraded rather than replaced.
Range & what it's known for
The catalogue has two tiers. The 1 Series includes the D1.5 transport, C1.2 DAC, P1 phono stage, L1 line preamplifier, A1.5 and M1.1 power amplifiers, the I1 integrated amplifier, the T1 clock and the X1 external power supply. The 10 Series is the reference line, with the D10 transport, C10 DAC, C10 Statement and C10 Statement Mono converters, P10 phono stage, L10 preamplifier, M10 power amplifier and T10 clock. Modularity is the defining trait - inputs and functions are added as boards, and existing units can be lifted to newer versions, as with the move from A1 to A1.5 and from M1 to M1.1. Apart from cables, no product has been discontinued since 2009.
Who owns it and where it's made
The company, CH Precision Sarl, is privately held by its founders. Both worked at Goldmund in the 1990s and later set up the OEM firm Anagram Technologies, known for DAC designs. Engineering, software and mechanical design are done in-house, Swiss partners supply circuit boards, and final assembly, testing and tuning take place at two adjoining buildings in Preverenges, in batches of up to six units.
The lineup in this catalog
Electronics and clocks. The smallest models cost around USD 20,000, and the top modular systems pass USD 100,000.
Who it's for
A buyer planning a long-term system, with the option to add boards and upgrades over years, is the CH Precision customer. Most systems begin with the I1 integrated amplifier or a 1 Series DAC and amplifier pair, with the T1 clock and X1 supply added later. The 10 Series serves owners building a full reference chain from transport to power amplifier.
