Hi-Fi brand Starke Sound has expanded its Beta loudspeaker series with the introduction of the most compact model, the Starke Sound Beta5. The new speaker is positioned as an entry-level model in the company’s lineup and is designed for use in stereo systems, multichannel configurations, and versatile home audio setups.
Starke Sound was founded in Southern California in 2009 by a team of engineers, designers, and audiophiles who set out to implement innovative approaches in acoustic technology. From the very beginning, the company’s mission has been to rethink high-quality sound by combining uncompromising engineering with contemporary design.

Alongside the launch of the Starke Sound Beta5 loudspeakers, the company also confirmed the expansion of its partnership with digital audio brand Eversolo. As part of this collaboration, the Eversolo Play platform will offer proprietary EQ profiles for the Starke Sound Beta5 as well as the larger Beta7 model. These profiles are designed to enable precise and straightforward system tuning and to optimize sound quality when the speakers are used with compatible Eversolo equipment.
When paired with Eversolo Play components, the Starke Sound Beta5 and Beta7 loudspeakers automatically adapt their sound using dedicated EQ profiles. According to Starke Sound, this level of integration is intended to simplify system setup by taking into account factors such as impedance matching, energy efficiency, and speaker placement in stereo, multichannel, and gaming audio systems.

The Starke Sound Beta5 is built in a two-way configuration. High frequencies are handled by a 29 mm tweeter with an enlarged voice coil, while the rest of the frequency range is reproduced by a 5.25-inch driver with a carbon sandwich diaphragm incorporating the company’s proprietary HEMF technology. Starke Sound claims that this design delivers controlled bass, a stable soundstage, and consistent performance across the listening area.
According to the company, the Beta5 was developed with both music listening and movie or TV content in mind. Key priorities include clear dialogue reproduction and accurate tonal balance, making the speakers well suited for living rooms where a single system is used for music, streaming, and video.

Starke Sound emphasizes that all elements of the Beta5 – including the drivers, crossover, and cabinet design – are developed in-house. To reduce unwanted resonances, an internal vibration control system is employed, aimed at lowering distortion and preserving sound quality at higher volume levels. The Starke Sound Beta5 is rated for a maximum sound pressure level of 108 dB. The design focuses on phase coherence between drivers and controlled transient response, while neodymium magnets are used in the motor systems to reduce distortion.

The recommended retail price of the Starke Sound Beta5 loudspeakers is USD 499 per pair. A bundle consisting of a pair of Beta5 speakers and the Eversolo Play Standard Edition network amplifier is priced at USD 1,098, while a package that includes the CD version of the amplifier costs USD 1,198.
