Japanese manufacturer of High End electronics, Soulnote presented a stereo (2 x 120 W at 4 Ohms) power amplifier A-3core, which implements the concept of "dual mono". Each channel of amplification is powered by a separate toroidal 700 W transformer.
A push-pull output stage on high-current bipolar transistors TO3 (Metal CAN-type) with a copper cooling plate (which is also a power bus) allows Soulnote A-3core to achieve hyper-realistic sound. Among other things, a four-stage Darlington configuration with super-powerful driver and pre-driver and a special ground bus are used.
In its products, Soulnote uses a special mechanical concept, which is also implemented in the Soulnote A-3core: the design of the massive device does not use tight screw connections of individual elements for acoustic reasons. The amplifier chassis and the top and bottom covers are not tightly fastened. In particular, the amplifier block has a transversely movable three-point structure with titanium guides. So, thermal expansion and contraction do not cause stress on the structure.
