PS Audio has started selling a new PS Audio Stellar DAC digital-to-analog converter, which offers a lot of features, including PS Audio's exclusive Digital Lens technology, I2S inputs, and a hybrid Class A output stage. The model also features a volume control, allowing the DAC to be connected directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
The PS Audio Stellar DAC is based on the ESS Sabre ES9018K2M 32-bit Hyperstream chip from ESS Technology, which works in conjunction with PS Audio's Digital Lens circuit (the technology determines the sampling frequency and synchronizes data, reducing jitter). The PS Audio Stellar DAC uses a hybrid balanced Class A analog output stage and a large-size, high-current linear power supply. There are no capacitors in the output path.
The commutation arsenal of the new product includes two I2S inputs, two coaxial inputs and one optical digital input, as well as a USB-B connection. Outputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA. The PS Audio Stellar DAC features a choice of digital filters that allow listeners to fine-tune the sound to their personal preferences. The PS Audio Stellar DAC is now available in the US with a suggested retail price of $2,199.

The new Nagaoka MP-700 cartridge tops the Moving Permalloy (MP) series and will be available in the standard MP-700 and premium MP-700H versions. Compared to conventional moving magnet (MM) cartridges, the Moving Permalloy (MP) variant features a lighter permalloy magnet attached to the cantilever.
Sennheiser has introduced the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open TWS headphones – the model, designed in a stylish compact design, promises, according to the manufacturer, exceptional comfort during use and a secure fit.
The Ranieri Audio Labs Varieta preamplifier has been released – the model uses directly heated triodes and allows for a wide range of tubes (300B, 2A3/6A3, 12A/201A, 26, 30, 31, 45, 50, 71A, 801A/10Y, 275A/252A, 245 and 842/VT52 will do). Simply ideal for those wishing to experiment with tube rolling.
Accuphase has introduced the Accuphase C-57 phono preamplifier, based on a fully balanced circuit design from output to input with dual mono topology. The Accuphase C-57 also uses a two-stage solution: the first stage is the output stage to ensure matching with MM and MC cartridges, the second stage is the correction amplifier itself.
Last year, Goldmund launched the impressive Goldmund Rhea and Theia acoustics in active versions with a wireless streamer. The all-in-one solution certainly looked brilliant, but High-End fans often prefer component systems. So now the company has introduced the Goldmund Rhea and Theia loudspeakers in a Passive version.
