Musical Fidelity has introduced the Nu-Vista Vinyl S phonostage within its Nu-Vista electronics series. This newcomer brings the exceptional performance of the flagship Nu-Vista Vinyl 2 to a more accessible price point while retaining the signature Nuvistor tube technology that defines the Nu-Vista series.

By optimizing internal PCB layout and repositioning the Nuvistor tubes, the engineers achieved approximately 45% size reduction without sacrificing sound quality, according to Musical Fidelity. The Vinyl S maintains a fully balanced discrete circuit topology with a three-stage Class A gain structure and the extensive adjustment capabilities inherited from its senior sibling.

The innovative Nuvistor tubes, developed in the 1950s, offer high reliability, low noise, minimal microphonic effect, and outstanding stability - ideal for audiophile applications. Historically, Nuvistors were used in professional studio equipment like the Ampex MR-70 tape machine and Neumann U47 microphones, prized for transparency and detail.

The precision-milled extruded aluminum chassis provides reliable mechanical and electromagnetic isolation. Included is a solid aluminum "S" remote control.
