Lorenzo Audio has introduced its new Bravo Collection loudspeaker series, marking the company’s next stage of development. The series incorporates the expertise, technologies and engineering experience accumulated in the brand’s previous models, as well as a new methodology called Resonance Optimization System, or ROS. The Lorenzo Audio catalogue now consists of two series: the Classic Collection, which includes the existing models, and the Bravo Collection, debuting with The Essence stand-mount loudspeakers.
The Essence is the most compact loudspeaker in the Lorenzo Audio range, yet it is positioned as a full-fledged High End monitor with a large-scale and emotionally engaging presentation. According to the manufacturer, the model is capable of delivering bass response close to that of large floorstanding speakers, while preserving delicacy, precision and realism.

The key idea behind The Essence is the use of the resonant properties of wood. Lorenzo Audio aims not simply to suppress cabinet vibrations, but to control and direct them so that they contribute to the musicality of the system. Its open, tonally rich sound without pronounced coloration is said to be achieved through carefully selected wood species and manual refinement of the design.
The monitor cabinets and matching stands are made entirely from 21 mm phenolic plywood. The front bass-reflex port is machined from a solid piece of tonewood on a lathe. The manufacturer regards this element not merely as a technical component, but as an important part of the acoustic tuning. The ports and cabinets are decorated with marquetry used in guitar making and finished with French polish based on shellac.

Elements made from Panzerholz play an important role in the design and are used by Lorenzo Audio in critical areas. The nuts and knobs of the speaker terminals, as well as the isolation feet, are made from this material. The cabinets are veneered with natural wood selected for both appearance and durability, while all finishing is carried out by hand using traditional craft techniques.

The Essence is equipped with a soft-dome tweeter and a bass/midrange driver with a carbon-fibre cone. The passive crossover is hand-soldered without the use of a printed circuit board and is housed inside the supplied stand. Its circuit uses components from Duelund, Mundorf, Jantzen and Pathaudio, while the internal wiring is made from high-purity copper cable.
The Resonance Optimization System methodology is based on the analysis, measurement and tuning of resonances that occur in wooden loudspeaker cabinets. Lorenzo Audio treats its loudspeakers almost like musical instruments: cabinets, bass-reflex ports and individual accessories are made from tonewoods of different thicknesses in order to use their natural acoustic properties and achieve a more vivid, detailed and non-fatiguing sound.

Sales of the Lorenzo Audio The Essence loudspeakers are expected to begin before the end of May. The recommended retail price in Europe will be €39,500 per pair. The company plans to introduce other models in the Bravo Collection in the near future, as well as showcase its loudspeakers at High End Vienna 2026 in June.
