FiiO has released a new digital-to-analog converter with headphone amplifier FiiO K13 R2R. The new product is based on a discrete R2R resistor ladder circuit and is equipped with digital inputs only. Both unbalanced analog RCA and balanced XLR outputs are provided for connection to the amplifier. In addition, the model is equipped with two headphone jacks and a Bluetooth 5.4 wireless transmission module.

The heart of the FiiO K13 is a fully discrete R2R DAC built on a matrix of 192 precision resistors configured for multi-bit conversion. The K13 R2R resistor matrix works in tandem with FiiO's patented error correction algorithm and an FPGA + DSP system responsible for clocking and oversampling. The USB receiver is powered by the XMOS XU316 chip

The FiiO K13 R2R delivers 2.4 W of power to the headphones. Thanks to adjustable gain levels, users can fine-tune the output power for specific models: from sensitive in-ear headphones to full-size models with an impedance of up to 600 ohms. The power supply is also interesting - a 30 W impulse power supply operates on the basis of 18 low-noise LDO stabilizers, five DC / DC converters and tantalum capacitors.

The FiiO K13 R2R will go on sale at the end of September 2025 at a retail price of 319 euros.
