The German company BETONart Audio uses concrete in the production of enclosures for its acoustics – and the new BETONart Audio Tonale Pro loudspeakers are no exception. The fully active speakers operate with a built-in amplification of 2.6 kW and weigh 280 kg each.
Such a large weight of BETONart Audio serves to achieve maximum rigidity of the structure and minimize vibrations. The uniquely enclosure consists of three acoustically isolated modules made of carbon concrete.
The dimensions of one BETONart Audio Tonale Pro loudspeaker are 180 x 42 x 50 centimeters. The speakers are equipped with Nanocrystalline aluminum ribbon tweeter, two midrange drivers and two 15” woofers, each of which is driven by its own amplifier –3 x 200 W and 2 x 1,000 W. The operating frequency range extends from 25 Hz to 30 kHz. The music signal can be fed to the BETONart Audio Tonale Pro via an asymmetrical or balanced analog inpit, or via a wireless network (WiSA 24bit / 96kHz stereo, delay 2.6 ms). Digital-to-analog conversion is entrusted to the ESS Technology SABRE chip (SNR 122dB, THD+N - 0.0004%) and fully-active sheme managed via 4 channels DSP with 16 IIR filters for each channel. With the help of the proprietary application for mobile phones Audio Smart Control (ASC), the user gets additional options for controlling the timbre.
