Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition – Released for the Company's 100th Anniversary

Bang & Olufsen has announced the latest version of the iconic Beolab 90 floorstanding speaker. Ten years after the release of the original, the Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition coincides with the company's centenary and will retail for €167,200 (US$211,800).

Developed by Bang & Olufsen's exclusive Atelier division, the Titan Edition offers a synthesis of the most daring design ideas with the highest sound quality. The speaker is housed in a 65 kg aluminum enclosure. The cabinet is hand-sandblasted using fine volcanic rock particles, creating a refined texture. The contrast with the polished base creates the effect of the speakers levitating. 

The speaker's top panel is crafted from a single block of aluminum. Each piece takes 12 hours to mill. Fine grooves around each driver are machined to create concentric "sound ripples" - a visual metaphor for sound waves. The front elements are adorned with holes that allow the integrated backlight to shine through.

Each speaker is equipped with eighteen Scan-Speak drivers (seven 30mm tweeters, seven 86 mm midrange drivers, three 210 mm side and rear woofers, and one 260 mm front woofer) and an amplifier array with a total output of 8.2 kW, consisting of 14 ICEpower AM300-X amplifiers delivering 300 watts each and four Heliox AM1000-1 amplifiers, each delivering up to a kilowatt. The Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition offers a full range of wired and wireless connectivity options, including WiSA.

The Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Titan Edition features switchable modes, from a focused "sweet spot" to a 360-degree beam pattern. The Beolab 90 Titan Edition speakers will be released in limited quantities, with four more variants featuring different interpretations of the Beolab 90 to be released in the coming months.
