Andover Audio The One MK2 – an All-in-One Audio System

Andover Audio has announced The One MK2 music system, an updated version of its integrated solution for listening to vinyl and digital sources. As before, the model is designed for those who want full-fledged sound without the traditional combination of a turntable, amplifier, speakers and numerous cables. The One MK2 brings everything together in a single enclosure and is aimed at listeners who value convenience, clean design and more serious sound quality than ordinary desktop systems can offer.

The new model develops the concept of the previous Andover One and One E systems. In the Andover Audio The One MK2, the manufacturer has combined a vinyl turntable, built-in stereo speaker system, factory setup, auto-stop function, Bluetooth and USB support, as well as the ability to integrate into a multi-room infrastructure. As a result, the device can be used as a standalone music system that does not require an additional amplifier or external speakers.

One of the notable improvements is the simplified setup process. The system comes with tracking force, anti-skating and cartridge alignment already adjusted. The user only needs to place The One MK2 on a suitable surface, connect it to power, put a record on the platter and lower the tonearm. This format is especially convenient for those who want to listen to vinyl but do not want to deal with the finer points of turntable setup.

The system uses an Audio-Technica VM95E moving magnet cartridge. It is well known for stable operation, confident tracking, solid channel separation and compatibility with replaceable styli from the VM95 family. If desired, the owner will be able to improve the sound over time by installing, for example, AT-VMN95ML or AT-VMN95SH styli without replacing the entire cartridge.

The turntable section of the Andover Audio The One MK2 also offers more flexible maintenance options. The design includes vertical tracking angle adjustment via a screw at the base of the tonearm, as well as a removable headshell with a locking collar. This makes cartridge replacement, alignment checks and possible upgrades easier. For an all-in-one device, this level of adjustment is fairly unusual and makes the system more versatile.

Another important addition is intelligent auto-stop. After playback of a record side ends, an optical sensor stops the turntable motor. The tonearm is not raised automatically and still needs to be lifted manually. Nevertheless, the function helps reduce unnecessary wear on the stylus and record if the user does not come back to the system immediately after playback has finished.

To reduce vibrations, Andover Audio has used a split-base construction that helps isolate the turntable motor from the acoustic enclosure. In addition, The One MK2 retains the company’s IsoGroove technology. It combines a special speaker design, internal cabinet reinforcement and DSP processing to reduce acoustic feedback, resonances and unwanted noise during vinyl playback.

The system’s functionality is not limited to records. The Andover Audio The One MK2 supports Bluetooth, features a USB port for playing files from external drives and recording vinyl, and includes preamp outputs, subwoofer outputs and a digital optical output for connection to a multi-room system. It also offers a graphic display, rotary control, RF remote, stereo, mono and panoramic modes, an equalizer and a built-in Class A headphone amplifier. Sales of the Andover Audio The One MK2 audio system will begin on June 1, 2026, with a recommended retail price of $2,699.
