FiiO has released the DP11 desktop CD player, designed to serve several roles at once – as a dedicated CD transport, a standalone source with a built-in DAC, or a component for direct connection to active speakers and power amplifiers. Its digital section is built around the Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC, while the connectivity options include both digital and analog outputs.

Shanling has launched the CD50, a compact CD player that opens the company’s new Shanling 50 series of audio components. Measuring 188 × 53 × 205 mm and weighing around 1.6 kg, the unit combines the functions of a CD transport, digital-to-analog converter, preamplifier, and headphone amplifier. The model supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW playback and features a loading tray with an HD850 laser mechanism.

The Accuphase DP-470 CD player has been unveiled, representing an evolutionary upgrade to the respected Japanese company's product lineup. True to tradition, the DP-470 employs a drive mechanism with a low center of gravity; a rubber damper is positioned between the laser pickup transport mechanism and the disc loader to suppress lens actuator resonance. French brand YBA will present its new Design One SACD player at High End Vienna 2026. It is a compact battery-powered model designed not only for traditional Hi-Fi systems, but also for desktop and portable use. According to the company, the Design One is the first YBA device created specifically for the portable/desktop audio segment. The unit combines an SACD/CD transport, a digital-to-analogue converter and a headphone amplifier in a single chassis. The player measures 188 × 166 × 40 mm and weighs 1.34 kg.

NAD has introduced the new C 589 CD player, expanding its Classic series. The model is aimed at fans of physical music media and combines traditional compact disc playback with modern digital processing developed by MQA Labs.

The estimated retail price is $169,99, and the model name refers to a star in the Ursa Major constellation, which is used as a reference point for finding the North Star. British company Quad Hifi has expanded its Platina series by introducing its third component – the Platina CDT CD transport. The model was announced earlier and has now officially reached the market. The unit does not feature a built-in digital-to-analogue converter, which is entirely logical: the DAC section is already included in the Quad Platina Integrated amplifier.

Rotel has introduced two new components under the Michi brand that launch the new Prestige series – the Michi Prestige Q430 CD player and the Michi Prestige X430 integrated amplifier. The new range is conceived as a more accessible alternative to the brand’s higher-end Michi components, while retaining the key engineering solutions and signature styling familiar from the flagship Reference series.

Italian company Gold Note continues to expand its 5.2 series of electronic components with the introduction of the Gold Note CD-5.2 CD player, an evolutionary development of the popular Gold Note CD-5 model. The new unit features an updated chassis design, improved power supply, and a modern user interface. Among the new features is volume control, allowing the component to be connected directly to power amplifiers or active loudspeakers.

The Japanese company Luxman has turned one hundred years old. To mark the occasion, the firm has introduced two new flagship models created as a modern reference pair, combining a century of analog and digital engineering experience. The new Luxman D-100c (SA)CD player and Luxman L-100c integrated amplifier form the foundation of the Luxman 100 Centennial Series, which celebrates the brand’s origins in 1925 while also reaffirming its long-standing pursuit of perfection rather than a chase for novelty.

Japanese company Accuphase has expanded its lineup of high-end digital sources by introducing the Accuphase DP-570S SACD/CD player. In addition to playing optical discs, the new model is equipped with digital inputs, including a USB-B port, allowing the built-in DAC to be used with other sources. There are also digital outputs, enabling the player’s transport to be used with external DACs.

The compact optical disc transport Mission 778CDT was first unveiled in May last year at the High End Show in Munich, and the model has now officially gone on sale. The new product is part of the Mission 778 Series lineup, which also includes the 778X integrated amplifier and the recently announced 778S network player. The transport features an OLED display with adjustable brightness and is housed in a compact aluminium chassis.
