Omega Audio Concepts Solista – New CD Player featuring the CD PRO 8 transport

Omega Audio Concepts has unveiled its first CD player with an integrated power supply. The Solista CD Player boasts a robust, "bulletproof" construction and utilizes a modified CD PRO 8 transport, enhanced with mechanical structural reinforcements, a non-magnetic clamp, and a flat-bottom reading unit.

The chassis of the Omega Audio Concepts Solista is machined from a solid block of aluminum, featuring a dedicated compartment for the power supply, which is built around five independent toroidal transformers and an LT3080 low-noise linear regulator. The unit weighs 35 kg and measures 270 × 370 × 100 mm.

All internal wiring employs proprietary "ELEMENTS" conductors, patented by Omega Audio Concepts. The player incorporates a reference clock generated by a 10 ppm TCXO, while an OPA1612 operational amplifier handles the audio output. Although the company has not disclosed the specific chip used for digital-to-analog conversion (24-bit/192 kHz DAC). The signal path is entirely capacitor-free, and system operations are managed by an STM Cortex-M0 digital microprocessor.

The device offers a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 110 dB and a dynamic range of 106 dB.
