The SME Model 8 is a completely redesigned version of the "entry-level" record player (by SME standards, of course) and is the successor to the Model 6 turntable. The vinyl player received a Vi series tonearm. The letter I in the name means an improved series compared to the V line.

ME Synergy Diamond MKII is a vinyl record player with a built-in phono corrector, a magnesium alloy tonearm with a pre-installed MC cartridge. The player looks compact, but it also has a lot of weight. The table is made of a single piece of aviation aluminum and provides an inert and stable base for mounting the suspension and sub-suspension. Finishing is done manually.
