A distinctive feature of the senior model Matrix Audio NT-1 is the presence of a network optical SFP port. Such a fiber-optic network connection provides additional quality, since the audio device can be completely electrically isolated from the rest of the computer network. Traditionally for the brand's products, TT-1 allows the use of an external DC power supply of higher quality.

The output stages of the Matrix Audio MA-1 power amplifier are made on discrete elements and operate in class A/B. To reduce the output impedance, ten high-power ONSEMI transistors operate in parallel in each channel to create a push-pull amplification circuit operating in a state of high bias current.

With a resistance load of 8 ohms, the output power is 110 watts in stereo mode and up to 500 watts in bridge mode. The amplifier body is made of thick aluminum panels, and special supports with ceramic balls are responsible for vibration suppression.

The MP-1 is equipped with three pairs of RCA and three pairs of XLR inputs with the ability to independently adjust the level for each of them. This allows you to maintain the amplitude of all input signals at the same level, preventing volume fluctuations when switching from one source to another.

The central processor is a quad–core Cortex-A9. There is a 3.46-inch touchscreen LCD display on the front panel of the device. The streamer can receive a signal both over a wired LAN network and via a dual-band Wi-Fi adapter, and the AirPlay2, Tidal Connect, and Spotify Connect platforms are supported.

The device can also function as a high-level transport capable of reproducing audio signals in high resolution via the IIS-LVDS port. This includes the signals coming to the analog input and the input of the phono corrector. This allows you to connect an external DAC. Maximum sampling rate: PCM 768 kHz / DSD512.

The DAC unit in the model is built on two top-end ES9039PRO chips from ESS Sabre, each of which is responsible for its own channel. The preamp provides a signal gain of +10 dB, and two analog outputs are provided for connection to a power amplifier or active speaker systems – unbalanced on RCA and balanced on XLR.

Each channel of the streamer uses an AK4493SEQ chip with two DAC blocks operating in parallel.

The digital-to-analog conversion is implemented here on the AK4493SEQ DAC chip from the Japanese company Asahi Kasei. Combined with Matrix Audio's proprietary FemtoSecond Clock system and proprietary jitter suppression algorithms, this lays the foundation for producing a high-quality, distortion-free analog signal.

The MD-1P is the foundation for a high-quality yet minimalistic High-End system. Everything is thought out here: an HDMI eARC port, a USB audio input, XLR and RCA line inputs, a Phono input for an MM cartridge, HD Bluetooth, an NVMe SSD storage slot, a direct CD copy function using an optional USB optical drive, preamp outputs and an output for connecting an active subwoofer.
