The F501E is the floorstanding model of the F500E Series from Fyne Audio, a four-model range that replaces the F300 Series and was unveiled at the 2024 Warsaw Audio Video Show. Alongside it sit the compact F5E bookshelf speaker and two LCR models, the F5E LCR and the F502E LCR. The launch price was GBP 999.99 or EUR 1,199.99 per pair, and a Walnut finish joined the original Black Ash across the whole line early in 2026.

Key specs that matter

This is a 2.5-way design with two 150 mm multi-fibre cones. The top cone belongs to an IsoFlare point source unit, which carries a coaxially mounted 25 mm titanium dome compression tweeter, and the lower one works as a dedicated bass unit. Crossover points are 250 Hz and 1.7 kHz, using 2nd-order low-pass and 1st-order high-pass slopes. Fyne quotes 36 Hz to 34 kHz at -6 dB, typical in room, with a sensitivity of 90 dB for 2.83 V at 1 m and a nominal impedance of 8 ohm. Continuous power handling is 75 W RMS. Each cabinet stands 984 mm high, 250 mm wide and 294 mm deep, and weighs 17.8 kg.

Engineering and use context

IsoFlare mounts the tweeter coaxially in the middle of the upper cone, so low, mid and high frequencies leave the driver from one point, which Fyne describes as isotropic radiation with constant directivity. The cones end in FyneFlute surrounds. The titanium tweeter diaphragm is driven by a neodymium magnet motor, and its breakup modes lie above 30 kHz. The port fires downward into the patented BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, whose shape converts energy leaving the port into an even 360-degree wave at floor level. The enclosure is built from high-rigidity MDF with bracing that supports the drivers. Inside, the crossover uses low-loss laminated core inductors for the bass section and high-grade film capacitors for the treble, joined by high-purity copper wiring. The black magnetic grille can be stored on the rear panel when removed. Fyne describes the model as suited for medium spaces, whether used for music or home theatre, and the series was the point at which IsoFlare drivers became standard across the whole Fyne range.

Pairing

Fyne recommends amplifiers delivering 30 to 150 W RMS per channel. Bi-wire sockets accept a pair of cables per speaker, and the F5E LCR or F502E LCR from the same series can be added for a home cinema layout with matching IsoFlare voicing.
