TOPPING has introduced the new Centaurus digital-to-analog converter, which uses R2R architecture and is implemented in a fully balanced architecture, which includes eight resistor board (developed jointly with HOLO Audio).
The key aspect of this solution is the processing of both DSD and PCM streams. Vector Step Resistance Network technology is specially used for decoding DSD, while the traditional R2R scheme is used for processing PCM. The process is controlled by a CPLD chip, which guarantees accurate decoding of musical material.
The TOPPING Centaurus DAC offers three signal processing modes: NOS (no oversampling), OS (with oversampling to reduce noise) and Best (automatic selection of the optimal mode). To customize the sound character, the DAC offers a 10-band parametric equalizer, allowing you to adjust the gain levels and bandwidth for each frequency.
The TOPPING Centaurus external DAC is equipped with both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog outputs with switchable voltage levels (XLR 4 V / 5 V, RCA 2 V / 2.5 V), providing flexibility for connecting to various amplifiers. When working via USB-B, the TOPPING Centaurus DAC supports PCM streams with parameters up to 32/768 and DSD512.
To reduce jitter, a synchronization system optimized for CPLD is used, which improves the purity of the sound. The new DAC boasts an extremely low level of total harmonic distortion, which is less than 0.0005%, and a dynamic range of 130 dB. The TOPPING Centaurus External DAC is now available for purchase with a suggested retail price of $999.

Canor Audio has introduced the hybrid integrated amplifier Canor Virtus A3. The model uses the "dual mono" topology, a vacuum tube preamplifier on a pair of E88CC tubes, is equipped with a built-in digital-to-analog converter, a phono preamplifier and has a 1.3-inch touch LCD screen.
The new Nagaoka MP-700 cartridge tops the Moving Permalloy (MP) series and will be available in the standard MP-700 and premium MP-700H versions. Compared to conventional moving magnet (MM) cartridges, the Moving Permalloy (MP) variant features a lighter permalloy magnet attached to the cantilever.
Sennheiser has introduced the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open TWS headphones – the model, designed in a stylish compact design, promises, according to the manufacturer, exceptional comfort during use and a secure fit.
The Ranieri Audio Labs Varieta preamplifier has been released – the model uses directly heated triodes and allows for a wide range of tubes (300B, 2A3/6A3, 12A/201A, 26, 30, 31, 45, 50, 71A, 801A/10Y, 275A/252A, 245 and 842/VT52 will do). Simply ideal for those wishing to experiment with tube rolling.
Accuphase has introduced the Accuphase C-57 phono preamplifier, based on a fully balanced circuit design from output to input with dual mono topology. The Accuphase C-57 also uses a two-stage solution: the first stage is the output stage to ensure matching with MM and MC cartridges, the second stage is the correction amplifier itself.
