Scansonic HD has released a bookshelf and a pair of floorstanding loudspeakers (M15.2, M20.2 and M30.2) – all models use a scheme with passive radiators on the rear panels of the cabinets and offer an impressive bass response. Since the brands Raidho Acoustics and Scansonic HD are related, the new models of the M series can be guessed at the developments previously used only in High-End acoustics: from special diffusers to ribbon tweeters and the highest quality of finishing.
All three new models of Scansonic HD M series acoustics are equipped with ribbon tweeters - due to the low moving mass of the membrane, they guarantee a faster and more accurate response, and, as a result, super-detailed sound even at high volume levels. As mentioned, instead of a ported design scheme, a design with rear passive radiators is used here. This provides sufficient flexibility for indoor installation and punchy bass.
The midrange drivers of the M series loudspeakers use a special diffuser that combines strength and elasticity. This design provides high stability, damping and seamless integration with the rest of the frequency range. The crossovers are also good - they are assembled on an audiophile element base.
The Scansonic HD M15.2, M20.2 and M30.2 loudspeakers will go on sale in April 2025. The recommended retail price in Europe for the bookshelf model Scansonic HD M15.2 is 1,500 euros. The floor-standing model Scansonic HD M20.2 will cost 2,600 euros, and the senior Scansonic HD M30.2 speaker systems will cost 3,500 euros.
