Accuphase has unveiled the successor to its E-5000 integrated amplifier - the new Accuphase E-6000 delivers an impressive 2 x 260 W into an 8-ohm load, increasing to 2 x 350 W into 4 ohms. This represents the highest power output in the history of the company’s integrated amplifiers, achieved through a significant upgrade to the output stages which now utilize six parallel pairs of transistors per channel, up from five (Class AB operation). The amplifier also features a larger toroidal transformer and two filter capacitors, each with a capacity of 47,000 µF (compared to 40,000 µF in the E-5000).

Another enhancement is the updated "Balanced AAVA" volume control system, which incorporates ANCC (Accuphase Noise and Distortion Cancelling Circuit) technology, improving the signal-to-noise ratio from 111 dB to 112 dB.

The Accuphase E-6000 employs a fully balanced circuit design and is capable of driving even demanding loudspeakers, boasting a damping factor of 1000. Its modular architecture allows for future upgrades, such as the addition of a digital-to-analog converter board or a phono stage (DAC-60 and AD-60). Connectivity options include five line-level inputs and two balanced inputs, along with a dedicated headphone amplification section.

The Accuphase E-6000 weighs 38.6 kg and will be available for purchase at a price of 14,490 euros.
