The model is available on a made-to-order basis - customers must first place a deposit of 12,497.50 USD/EUR, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the unit, bringing the total price to 19,995.00 USD/EUR.

The Mytek Empire V2.0 was developed in Brooklyn by the Mytek R&D team, led by Chief Design Engineer Michal Jurewicz, with a "cost-no-object" approach to quality. The device operates without cooling fans; instead, the CPU is cooled via custom aluminum heat pipes connected to the unit’s main chassis lid, which is precision-milled from a single block of aluminum. The i7 CPU boards are designed for easy upgrades to faster, future-generation models.

The Mytek Empire V2.0 runs on the Roon OS engine / Mytek OS and supports Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect. At the heart of the system is a new converter based on a dual-mono hybrid 6-bit DAC architecture, which combines chipsets with external DSP and FPGA processing. The DAC board is fully enclosed within a "Faraday cage" and features its own dedicated dual-mono linear power supply, along with a galvanic USB isolator, enabling playback of up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 with minimal interference.
