The model operates in pure Class A and is capable of producing 25 watts at the output. This is a compact amplifier made in vintage style.
J.E.Sugden flaunts the completely manual assembly of its devices (with one master assembling the device from and to the device) – and the Sugden A21SE amplifier is no exception. The output power is low, only 2 x 30 watts at 8 ohms or 2 x 48 watts at 4 ohms, but note that the amplifier operates in Class A. The frequency band is phenomenal – 6 Hz - 280 kHz.
All J.E.Sugden devices are assembled exclusively by hand, and the company puts a special meaning into this concept. Manual assembly is certainly good. But when several people work on one device in turn, it's already a conveyor belt, and all the advantages are lost," James Sugden is sure. One person works on each component from start to finish, he puts a part of his soul into the product and bears personal responsibility.
The Sugden Masterclass ANV-50, the 50th anniversary model in the famous series, largely pays tribute to the company's first transistor amplifier, which hit the shelves 50 years ago.
The MASTERCLASS preamp is a real work of art, each of these components is hand-made, which guarantees the highest quality products. The electronic circuit provides excellent uncompromising sound thanks to close attention to detail - gold-plated circuit board, silver solder, etc.
The PA4 phonostage is made seriously - a component of the Masterclass series. The solid dimensions and weight of the device have a completely practical explanation - an amplifier made according to the "dual mono" scheme is hidden inside, operating in class A. The phono corrector has three inputs, two of which are designed for MS heads, the input impedance is regulated by installing soldered RCA plugs in additional sockets. Sugden's sound is surprisingly informative and transparent - all melodic lines, parts, playing features and timbres of individual instruments are perfectly conveyed.
The model has a massive aluminum housing that protects the parts and circuit from electromagnetic fields, as well as effectively dissipates heat from radiators.
A mono power amplifier that outputs 165 watts at an impedance of 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms. It has a silver body and a vintage look.
An integrated amplifier with a large number of inputs, which is capable of delivering 33 watts with an impedance of 8 ohms and 40 watts if the impedance is 4 ohms.
The device is designed for music playback, uses its own data conversion and processing schemes, and provides almost analog sound.
The Sugden FBA 800 has a solid supply of power, having on board a 350-watt main transformer with an output power of only 40 watts per channel. The novelty has a fully balanced architecture from the input to the output stage.
The distinctive features of the Sugden DAP 800 are the complete separation of the power supply circuits for the analog and digital parts, as well as the use of current signal amplification. The manufacturer guarantees the absence of phase distortion at any position of its volume control.
