All J.E.Sugden devices are assembled exclusively by hand, and the company puts a special meaning into this concept. Manual assembly is certainly good. But when several people work on one device in turn, it's already a conveyor belt, and all the advantages are lost," James Sugden is sure. One person works on each component from start to finish, he puts a part of his soul into the product and bears personal responsibility.

    Sugden Audio MASTERCLASS PA-4

The PA4 phonostage is made seriously - a component of the Masterclass series. The solid dimensions and weight of the device have a completely practical explanation - an amplifier made according to the "dual mono" scheme is hidden inside, operating in class A. The phono corrector has three inputs, two of which are designed for MS heads, the input impedance is regulated by installing soldered RCA plugs in additional sockets. Sugden's sound is surprisingly informative and transparent - all melodic lines, parts, playing features and timbres of individual instruments are perfectly conveyed.
