The Rena SA-2 combines the latest audio streaming technology from Electrocompaniet with a high-performance DAC and amplifier designed and manufactured in-house in Norway. The company has also updated its EC Play app, adding support for TIDAL Hi Res FLAC and Plays with Audirvana.
The Electrocompaniet RENA S2 audio player is a simple solution for upgrading your existing system with next—generation audio streaming technologies. It provides a direct connection to an existing amplifier with the latest DAC and streaming technology.
The Electrocompaniet AW 300M monoblock power amplifier develops a power of 300 watts when operating on a load with a nominal resistance of 8 ohms. The amplifier uses a feedback-free topology with wide bandwidth amplification stages.
A distinctive feature of the new amplifier is its ability to work equally successfully in both stereo and mono mode. In the first case, its output power is 300 Watts per channel at 8 ohms, in the second it increases to 800 watts with the same resistance load and reaches a monstrous 1,500 watts when operating at 4 ohms.
The Electrocompaniet AW250-R dual-channel power amplifier has an uncompromising design and is capable of confidently handling any speaker system. The amplifier's power supply is equipped with huge custom-made toroidal transformers made using proprietary FTT technology. The entire circuit of the Electrocompaniet AW250-R is made according to the dual mono principle, from discrete audiophile-class components.
The ECI-6DX Mk II model has the same basic characteristics as the ECI-6 Mk II, but is equipped with a digital unit that combines the functionality of a DAC and a streamer. An RJ45 Ethernet port and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless adapters are provided for integration into a computer network.
The ECI-6 Mk II is a classic integrated amplifier without the increasingly common built–in DAC units and streamers in modern components. The output power when operating at a load of 8 ohms reaches 120 watts.
The model develops a power of 2x80 watts at 8 ohms, and when an AC with an impedance of 2 ohms is connected, this figure increases to 300 watts. The damping coefficient exceeds 300 units, which allows the amplifier to work with low-resistance speakers. The Electrocompaniet ECI 80 D amplifier uses a balanced circuit topology and the same design principles as in the Classic line.
A distinctive feature of the Electrocompaniet ECP 2 MK II phonocorrector preamplifier, which distinguishes it from a number of competitors, is the ability to change the parameters of the input stage within the widest limits, which makes the device an ideal partner for any cartridges and cables.
The component ensures a completely symmetrical signal transmission from the input to the output. The input stage is implemented on JFET transistors, and the output stage is implemented on high–precision BJT transistors. The device has two balanced XLR inputs, three unbalanced RCA inputs, as well as an end-to-end channel input for integration into the DC system. There is only one adjustable output – balanced on XLR, and there is also a fixed recording output.
The discs are loaded through the top panel with a sliding lid, while the CD is fixed in the transport using a small but heavy washer with a company logo. The player has both balanced (4.6 V) and unbalanced (2.3 V) analog outputs, in addition, there is a digital output in SPIDF format on optical and coaxial connectors. The weight of the player is 18 kilograms.
The Electrocompaniet ECM 1 MKII has an extremely low noise level (less than -145 dB), the frequency response ranges from 0.5 to 48,000 Hz. The output resistance is 300 ohms, the distortion does not exceed 0.0005%.
The SE version received an updated front panel design, a special badge and a golden Spider CD clip. It also received a high-quality Evo3 Elite cable from IsoTek in the version for the European market.
