The Silver 300 7G is a four-driver, three-way floorstanding model belonging to the seventh generation of the Silver line from UK loudspeaker maker Monitor Audio, sitting below the Silver 500 7G among the towers of the range. Buyers can choose Ash, Black Oak, Natural Walnut, High Gloss Black or Satin White finish, and Monitor Audio also produced a Silver 300 7G Limited Edition. The price was about USD 2,850 per pair.

A 1-inch (25 mm) C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter is mounted behind a Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II, a 3-inch C-CAM RST II cone handles the midrange, and two 6-inch C-CAM RST II units cover the bass. Engineering and use context

All three driver types use C-CAM, a ceramic-coated alloy of aluminium and magnesium. RST II, the second version of Rigid Surface Technology, presses a pattern into the cone to stiffen it. The tweeter in the 7G generation received a redesigned magnet system and rear chamber, and the new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II in front of the dome controls how the treble spreads. The bass-reflex loading relies on a pair of rear-mounted HiVe II ports. The outrigger feet widen the stance of the tall cabinet. Besides the Silver 50 7G and Silver 100 7G stand-mounts and the Silver 200 7G, the series contains this model and the Silver 500 7G. The Limited Edition version was listed in a Carbon Black Metallic finish.

Pairing

Because the impedance drops close to 4 ohm in the upper bass, the amplifier should stay stable there, even though the average load is easy.
