Напольная акустика — Monitor Audio Bronze W10

The Bronze W10 is an active subwoofer-style floorstanding tower from Monitor Audio's Bronze range, combining built-in amplification with the brand's entry-tier acoustic platform. Monitor Audio's Bronze range sits at the accessible end of the brand's overall catalogue, and this specific model extends that accessible positioning into a self-powered bass module rather than a conventional passive tower.

Position in line

It sits in Monitor Audio's Bronze range alongside the Cinergy 300 and below the Anthra W15, as a self-amplified model within the broader Bronze lineup. This positioning suggests Monitor Audio treats powered bass modules as a distinct sub-category running parallel to its main passive speaker ranges, rather than fully integrating them into the brand's numbered tier structure.

Key specs that matter

Rated low-frequency response is 33 Hz, a reasonably deep figure for a compact powered module. Internal amplification is rated at 220 W, a substantial figure relative to the cabinet's likely modest internal volume. At 32.1 x 32.1 x 36.4 cm and 13.4 kg it is a compact cabinet for a self-amplified design, sized more like a large bookshelf speaker than a full floorstanding tower despite the model being classified among floorstanding loudspeakers.

Sound and use context

Expect a controlled, deep-reaching low end from the built-in amplification, matched specifically to the driver rather than left to an external amplifier's characteristics - a genuine advantage over a passive design of similar size where amplifier choice would otherwise introduce additional variability.

Pairing

As an active or amplified design, it typically takes a line-level or subwoofer-level feed directly rather than full-range speaker-level input, so confirming the exact input type expected is worth doing before final system assembly.

Alternatives

The Cinergy 300 and Anthra W15 sit nearby in Monitor Audio's range for a listener comparing similar-tier active bass solutions, worth checking against this model specifically on cabinet size and amplifier power. Because it is classified among floorstanding models despite its compact stand-mount-like proportions, buyers should confirm with a dealer exactly how Monitor Audio positions this unit within a full-range system before assuming it functions as a genuine standalone tower rather than a bass-reinforcement module intended to pair with separate main speakers.
