The ToneWinner AT-01S is the passive speaker bar of the Yuexiang No. 1 home cinema set made by the Guangzhou company Tonewinner Electronics. It contains no amplification or decoding of its own and is designed to work only with the AT-01A processor and amplifier, which together form a 5.1.2 system that the maker describes as Dolby Atmos certified. The bar can stand on a table or hang on the wall under a TV.

The enclosure houses eight channels served by twelve drivers. The maker lists three 3/4-inch tweeters, five 3-inch mid-bass units, two 4-inch bass drivers and two 3-inch full-range units. Engineering and use context

The left, centre and right channels on the front each combine a 3-inch mid-bass unit and a soft film dome tweeter working as a two-way section. Surround left and right come from 3-inch full-range units on the two ends of the bar, and two more 3-inch full-range drivers mounted on the upper surface fire upward to form the reflected overhead channels needed for Atmos height effects. Two 4-inch drivers on the front work together as the bass section. Every channel sits in its own internal chamber so that the signals do not interfere inside the enclosure. The cabinet has a high-gloss painted finish. Its ends are covered by one-piece perforated metal grilles and the middle treble area by a cloth grille, giving a mix of materials on the front face. The grille is a single integrated piece across the whole bar, and the same cabinet works in both the hanging and the tabletop position without extra parts.

Pairing

Because the bar is passive, it needs the AT-01A, which carries the Atmos decoding, HDMI switching and class D amplification for all channels. A single multi-core oxygen-free copper cable connects the amplifier to the bar, which removes the tangle of separate speaker leads found in a conventional home cinema layout. The combined set is aimed at a living room where the TV sits above or in front of the bar. Sources plug into the amplifier rather than the bar, and the amplifier chassis with its screen and buttons can sit on a shelf away from the TV. Packed together, the bar and the AT-01A weigh 16.4 kg.
