AVID Evo Two - 3.5-Way Reference Loudspeakers

09.08.2025 08:12 | ~1 minute read

AVID has released the AVID Evo Two floorstanding speakers, which continue the series started by the AVID Evo Three, but provide deeper bass and scale, thanks to the 3.5-way configuration.

The AVID Evo Two acoustic systems use a 28 mm Acuflex soft dome tweeter, a pair of 160 mm drivers with a 75 mm titanium coil work on midrange frequencies, and a 250 mm woofer is responsible for low frequencies. The drivers are mounted on a rigid anodized aluminum panel, which gives the emitters the highest mechanical stability. The crossover uses ClarityCap capacitors, which reduce the resistance of the signal path and minimize distortion.

The speaker cabinets are designed to minimize unwanted vibrations using AVID's proprietary Tuned Mass Technology, which absorbs the energy produced by the speakers before it is transmitted to the cabinet. The weight of one speaker is 42 kg.
