Neumann Introduces KH 310 II and KH 350 Active Three-Way Studio Monitors

Neumann has expanded its range of professional studio monitors with two active three-way models, the KH 310 II and KH 350. Both are built on a common technology platform featuring proprietary drivers, integrated amplification with a total output of 585 watts, and 32-bit DSP processing. The monitors are designed primarily for studio use, although their neutral tuning, low distortion, and advanced room-correction capabilities also make them suitable for high-end home audio systems.

The KH 310 II is a direct evolution of the KH 310. It retains the sealed enclosure and the same cabinet dimensions, but adds a newly developed woofer, more powerful amplification, and updated DSP. As a result, the maximum sound pressure level has increased by around 5 dB. The three-way driver configuration includes an 8.25-inch woofer, a 3-inch dome midrange driver, and a 1-inch tweeter. Connectivity options include an analog input and a digital AES3id interface.

The KH 350 is aimed at larger rooms and applications requiring greater low-frequency extension. Unlike the KH 310 II, it uses a bass-reflex enclosure and a vertical driver layout, while the cabinet itself is noticeably larger. The low-frequency response extends down to 27 Hz at ±6 dB. The model is designed for both nearfield and midfield monitoring and is intended for music production, film sound, post-production, broadcast, and immersive audio applications. Within Neumann’s product range, the KH 350 will sit between the KH 310 II and the flagship KH 420.

Both new monitors are fully compatible with the Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, which measures room acoustics and adjusts the monitors’ response according to their placement and the characteristics of the listening environment. This simplifies the setup of stereo, surround, and immersive systems and allows different models from the KH series to be combined within a single monitoring setup. Neumann says the KH 310 II and KH 350 follow the same core principles of linearity, precision, and low distortion as the rest of the KH family. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
