The Musical Fidelity V90-DAC is designed to ultimately create the best DAC in the world without emptying your wallet. Examine any high—end DAC, and the first thing you'll see is a massive case. As far as is known, this does not affect its technical or sound characteristics in any way. Remove the top cover, and in most cases you'll see a complex layout that suggests performance. However, further analysis will show that the real work on signal processing and data conversion is performed by about a dozen components. The rest is a decoration designed to show competence.
