Based on a zero-feedback circuit, a pure tube circuit, and a tube rectifier, the CD-35 II exposes a variety of musical layers with maximum transparency while creating a deep and focused three-dimensional sound stage. The bass is dense and powerful, the midrange is clear and smooth, natural, while extremely clean and finely detailed, but not analytical.
The device is equipped with some special functions. Ayon Audio engineers have preserved the legendary Philips Pro drive, one of the best CD drives in terms of sound, the 6H14 dual digital tube buffer (operating in the megahertz range) and, of course, the elegant design of Ayon Audio. Special attention was paid to a new clocking system, a modified power supply, a new dual grounding system and the possibility of increasing the CD bitrate to DSD 128 using a new DSD converter module (optional).
