The word "tesseract" was coined by the English mathematician Charles Howard Hinton. As he believed, the three-dimensional world in which we live divides the four-dimensional world, inaccessible to our perception, into two parts: Ana (the upper world) and Kata (the lower). So a concrete slab divides a house into two floors. So Neil Patel (chief developer of Avalon Acoustics) divided his flagship model into two sections - upper and lower. The system is supplied in four boxes with a total weight of 908 kg (the weight of each speaker assembled without packaging is 375 kg). The total height of the acoustic systems is 2.21 m. The purpose of the division is to minimize the influence of the powerful LF section on the MF and HF, to obtain a more rigid and stable design, and, finally, to make the product more transportable.
Flagship 3-way, floorstanding loudspeaker with a unique 0.78" diamond high-frequency speaker (Diamond Underhung Voice-Coil), 4.5" ceramic midrange speaker (Ceramic Underhung Voice-Coil), 11" Ceramic/Honeycomb Underhung Voice-Coil midbass speaker and 4 long-range, low-frequency 15" speakers (Low Q High Force Factor Sub-Woofers).
The speakers feature a 1-inch high–frequency driver (Carbon/Glass Neodymium), a 7-inch midrange driver (Ceramic – Concave radial magnetic Ceramic), and two 13-inch low-frequency drivers (Nomex-Kevlar Generation II Composite).
Three-way, floorstanding loudspeaker, treble - 1" (Diamond - Diamond Diaphragm, concave dome), midrange - 7" (Ceramic - Concave Ceramic Dome), woofer - 2x13" (NomexKevlar Composite), each driver is individually tested and selected to ensure optimal performance, proprietary drivers are used in all drivers patented neodymium magnetic technology.
The internal structure of the RM4 housing is a unique combination of sealed chambers and several labyrinths. Using our more than 30 years of experience in the field of resonance elimination and control, we have created a special development for the RM4 that includes a multilayer platform with limited damping for the main baffle, as well as carefully tuned cavity resonances to enhance and control its own modes.
