The PS3 case is made of the proprietary Silent Inner Cabinet composite, which is a concentrated alloy of high-density inert resin. For the first time, the Silent Inner Cabinet composite was used to create TESSERACT ultratop speakers, in which it has proven itself well, and is now used in all models of the Precision Monitor line.
